Dr. Susan H. Spater Zimmerman

Dr. Susan Spater-Zimmerman is an esteemed member of the Bright Achievements Board. A graduate of University of Rochester, Columbia University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Dr. Spater-Zimmerman brings her experience and long history of working most specifically with children and adolescents to the fore in her capacity as medical advisor.

Dr. Michael Kaplowitz

Bright Achievements is proud to have Doctor Michael Kaplowitz serving on its Board of Directors. A graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Kaplowitz completed psychiatry internship and residency and fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Hillside Hospital – Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Adult, as well as Geriatric Psychiatry, his professional work focuses on the central nervous system (CNS) disorders. With extensive teaching experience in prestigious psychiatric programs , Dr. Kaplowitz today serves as consultant to seven developmentally disabled/mentally retarded adult organizations , aside from the private practice he maintains.
